Brief Description of the Church

First Church in Marlborough (Congregational) United Church of Christ is a historic church located adjacent to the tree-lined Union Common on Main Street, near City Hall. Marlborough is located in central Massachusetts, on a crossroads of highways (Mass Turnpike, Route 290 and Route 495) within convenient driving distance to Boston and Worcester.

Our church is multi-generational and includes young families, professional, technical, and business people, as well as a large number of retirees. Our music program has diverse offerings: the Chancel Choir (traditional), the Bell Choir, and gifted vocal and instrumental soloists.

We are a church with energy and pursue various outreach activities on local as well as global levels. We are active in efforts addressing hunger and homelessness. God is calling our church to strengthen our commitment to discipleship, implement ministry based teams, grow our Sunday school, and discern direction in utilizing building and financial resources.
